The Enlightened & The Enslaved: Expansion One
The prophecy of the Calteeryn is fulfilled but only now do our heroes begin to uncover the horrible truths so long hidden. But a greater danger begins to ensnare the world of Vrahode, and another threat, long hidden in the dark, begins to step into the light.
The party must find help to face these new threats. But who can they trust? Time is running out. The Calteeryn and party of Heroes may have to visit the places they fear most to protect the future of Vrahode!
The world of Vrahode
Vrahode is a world of abundant and diverse biomes, each offering its own unique challenges and opportunities for adventure. Filled with forests, deserts, plains, mountains, marshes, coastlines, rivers, and badlands, Vrahode beckons to its hearty heroes, “Dare to traverse my wilds. Experience my beauty and face my dangers. Venture forth, adventurers! All that you know and love hangs in the balance!"
Explore a world as rich and diverse as the team of artists who created it! There are over 400 Overland Regions to explore, 200 Ocean Regions, and 28 self-contained macro settings for enemy encounters (including forests, plains, tundras, coasts, oceans, mountains, marshes, mesas, deserts, caverns, rivers, and dungeons).

Travel in Vrahode is dangerous but rewarding
Travel within Vrahode is fraught with danger of every kind imaginable, and some unimaginable. The world itself, and all the flora and fauna that populate it, will be the first to test you. A lot of predatory plants and animals call Vrahode home! Even with dangerous creatures are not present, the journey itself takes its toll on even the toughest Heroes. It is always wise to travel in a group as you navigate the Overlands, Underlands, and Oceans of Vrahode. Death waits around every corner for the unwary adventurer!
Sail the High Seas of Vrahode
During ocean travel, Heroes will interact with the Sahrhune, a friendly reptilian race related to the playable races of the Drelrhune and JuAirne. The Sahrhune are the sovereign sailors of Vrahode’s oceans, their ships carrying your party wherever you wish to go on the open oceans, so long as the powers that control the weather and the other threats of the dark depths don’t stand in your way.
The Sahrhune don’t suffer dead weight and expect their guests to hoist sails alongside them, but they’ll provide enough crew to make up for the numbers you don’t bring.
Journey Across Diverse Biomes Upon
the Lands of Vrahode
While moving about the Overland map, Vrahode presents a great number of opportunities and dangers. Specific biomes provide unique occurrences which can benefit our heroes but may also place them at risk of attack by the creatures who inhabit those places. Choosing your path carefully as you journey can be the difference between reaching your destination or becoming a timely lunch for a hungry creature.
Plunge to the Treacherous Depths of Vrahode for Treasures
The Underlands are a place of deep danger and mystery, the hidden refuge of the forgotten and those lying in wait. It takes a steady mind and a quick wit to survive a trek through these warrens of darkness and shadow.
Be wary that the denizens of the dark normally have home-field advantage and your party is the visiting team!
Bring Your Tabletop Game to Life with 3-D Terrain and an Assortment of Flats and Tiles
The Vrahode Game System boasts an impressive 28 unique and thoughtfully crafted encounter flats where all the action of battle occurs. If, for example, while traveling through the Overlands of Vrahode, if an enemy is encountered in the deep forests, a macro encounter forest flat is placed on the table. There the hero, enemy, and terrain miniatures are positioned, and over a field of one-inch squares, the battle is played out.
The Enemies
The fresh fantasy world of Vrahode beckons with a host of challenges to test the mettle of even the most skilled adventurers! While Vrahode offers a host of flesh and blood enemies, many of the dangers come from places you might not expect!
World as Enemy – Vrahode is a forbidding place, especially when you don’t know what you’re doing. The fatigue of travel through harsh terrains, the unpredictable nature of the lands themselves and the dangers that devilish minds devise to harm you combine to make this a treacherous realm. Dismiss the dangers of Vrahode itself at your peril!
Inventory as Enemy – The road is long and there are many dangers, but there are also many treasures. Which you choose to keep in your backpack or equip may just be what determines your fate. With room enough for only ten items in your pack, and only one of them “heavy,” heroes will quickly be forced to choose which to keep and which to barter with.
Flesh & Blood Enemies – The Vrahode Game System, nine products in all, is filled with many creatures large and small that are bent on your destruction. The enemies are carefully introduced throughout our series to offer a continuous stream of new and increasing challenging adversaries to keep the games fresh and exciting from the first encounter to the last and from the first playthrough to the three hundredth! If you choose to play through the five games in the series and the four optional Harbinger sets be prepared to face sixty-three unique enemy types and nineteen ultra-challenging Legendary Creatures!

We developed a robust tool kit for our storytellers to bring the world of Vrahode to life and we give that same tool kit to you for creating your own adventures! Share your custom campaigns, quests and heroes with others in the Vrahode community on our FREE forums!
Our “open door policy” allows players to customize hero builds or choose from presets. The world map numbering system makes it easy to create precise, and easy-to-follow quest chains across the Overlands, Oceans, and Underlands of Vrahode. Our terrain miniatures and huge assortments of flats and tiles will ensure that you can create an ever-evolving world where each encounter is different from the last.

What is Vrahode?Vrahode is the world where the Vrahode Game System takes place. We have created a unique planet, astronomical context, history, races, creatures, enemies, stories and quests. Vrahode and everything in it was conceived in 1990 by Jeff Irving when he was in college at Ball State University as a graphic design and journalism student.

When will Age of Prophecy be available?Vrahode: Age of Prophecy is currently in it's final stages of production. Is a game master required to play?No, a Game Master is never required to play Vrahode. Not only does the Vrahode Game System not require a Game Master, we’ve crafted the player count and gaming options carefully, so you can play with a group of up to six friends or all by yourself and anything in between and still access every aspect of the game’s rich variety of game modes and quest types.

How many can play at one time?With our thoughtfully designed Character Dashboards, we’ve made it easy for as little as one and up to 6 players to adventure together at a time. But don’t forget that a player and a Hero are different things. We recommend that, if playing the full campaign mode by yourself, you bring along at least three Heroes in your adventuring party. As such, you would be managing three Character Dashboards at a time. Feel free to throw this advice to the winds if you want, but just remember, the winds of Vrahode bite hard.

How long does an average game last?The short answer is: 30 minutes to as long as you want. The Vrahode Game System is stuffed with value-added content, from single tile Errands that will take you no longer than sipping a cup of coffee, to sprawling Missions and other quest strings which could easily take a playing party an entire afternoon. What’s more, we’ve built Vrahode around the ability for players to craft their own adventures. Feel like playing a string of five minutes sprints? Go for it. Rather have a three-day marathon of enemy waves? You can do that too? There is no limit to Vrahode.

What is the Vrahode Game System?It is a rule system initially housing a four game series. It is designed to be easy to learn, easy to play with lots of richness and choices that don’t overcomplicate the experience. It is also a system that encourages fan created content. Players can create their own heroes, quests, maps, etc. Fan created content can be shared to a forum we provide. There will also be additional expansions and new sanctioned materials from Weathervane Games in the future.

Does Vrahode: Age of Prophecy allow for multiple play-throughs?Yes! The story remains the same but the experience will be unique each play through wether you play a solo run or up to 4 players.

How many games are there in the Vrahode Game Series?There are five (5) boxes that together make up the Vrahode Game Series. The introduction to Vrahode begins with "Age of Prophecy". The core box to follow will be "The Calteeryn Ascension" with three (3) expansions to the core box.

How many miniatures are included in the Vrahode Game Series?A lot! With four boxes worth of sweeping epic fantasy story arc, the Vrahode Game Series has a host of characters who bring the world and story to life. In the four boxes, you’ll find well over one hundred Hero, NPC, enemy and terrain miniatures, ranging from small Hero and support characters to very large and complex bosses that sprawl over many squares on our Encounter Maps.

How challenging will the Vrahode Game System be?While it is not the goal of our team to make Vrahode unplayably difficult, the series will not cater to those looking for a leisurely stroll through flowered fields. For many reasons, the Vrahode Game Series and System will be decidedly difficult. The “fail forward” conditions present and in many cases unnecessarily rewarding in so many other games, will not be present in Vrahode. The ability to mitigate risk through dice is nowhere in our game. Even the humblest enemies can truly threaten death for the unseasoned Hero or traveling party. In addition, many of the ways we’ve increased replayability and unpredictability in our series also contribute to an increased challenge level. All in all, Vrahode is a game in which every reward and every advancement is hard earned. But fear not, if things get too tough, running away from a losing battle and gaining some more provision and experience before returning is often an option.

Can I play a custom character in Age of Prophecy?Vrahode: Age of Prophecy comes with four (4) pre-generated characters in order to introduce adventurers to the gaming system. Once you advance into the core box (Vrahode: The Calteeran Ascencion) you will have the option of bringing custom characters on your adventure with you.
